Taibah University was established in 2003, a public university located in Medina, the first capital in the history of Islam and the source of the prophetic message. Medina is a global destination for Muslims around the world because of the presence of the Prophet's mosque, the second holiest Islamic site, in addition to many mosques and historical and archaeological sites.
The university sets out through its vision and mission to achieve a balance between its basic functions: education and training, scientific research and innovation, and Social Responsibility, and its aspiration for excellence and appearance on the international map of higher education within a general framework of commitment to quality standards.
Taibah University Grants diploma, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees through its various academic programs in health, scientific, theoretical and applied disciplines. The university is also distinguished by its competitive outputs in health programs, and seeks to build an attractive and distinctive educational environment to attract talented students and international students with their support through the provision of scholarships in the platform (I study in Saudi Arabia).
Taibah University offers its programs in Medina and its six branches in Yanbu, Ala, hanakiya, Khyber, Mahd and Badr governorates, where the quality of the programs provided has been adapted to the needs of each governorate .the university is also working to develop and update its academic programs in accordance with the requirements of the labor market in order to increase the employment rates of graduates in accordance with the objectives of the human capabilities development program, one of the programs of the kingdom's Vision 2030.
Through a group of distinguished researchers, who graduated from prestigious international universities and through its five research centers, the University seeks to achieve national priorities in the fields of research, development and innovation. The genetics and Genetic Diseases Center at the university is one of the terminal centers approved and supported by the Saudi Genome Project, which aims to sequence the human genome of 100 thousand Saudi citizens. It is one of the leading initiatives of the kingdom's vision and the largest in the Middle East region in the field of Health.
The university is also working on developing a strategy that reflects its commitment to enhancing its competitive value and upgrading the status and ranking of the university locally, regionally and globally.
